Before doing the Love Breakthrough Weekend (LBW) in May 2014, I spent the majority of my adult life in and out of relationships hoping to finally be with the one my heart truly desired. Instead, I kept repeating the same type of unfulfilling relationships over and over with different men.

Dear Lara and Johnny,

I am so grateful to you both for starting the LoveLaunch program! When I first signed up for the Love Breakthrough weekend, I was excited to try something new.

I didn't think about it at the time, but it was pretty bold of me to fly out somewhere I’ve never been, by myself, and knowing no one. But I did it, and I loved it so much I signed up for the year long program!

I hope you will forgive me for mentioning specifics. One of our last weekends together, we were in little groups, pretending we were at a reunion, describing our lives in turn. What I said I will not forget. I said, I am married to my man, he is dark and handsome, we have a home but are getting ready to build a new home in Albuquerque. I almost mentioned another city, but Albuquerque popped out. I felt sure of it!

Well, now I AM married to my dark, handsome man. We DO have a house now, and we are seriously contemplating building one here in Albuquerque!

The two of you and my LoveLaunch sisters have given me such wonderful memories I will cherish forever! Thank you and I love you! Fernando thanks you, too!

The LBW was truly a transformational and unforgettable experience. The exercises were so robust – I experienced every emotion you can think of. I learned more about myself in those two days than I probably had in my entire adult life. And going through the weekend with a group of unique and special women made the experience that much more impactful. I will never forget those ladies or the lessons I learned.

Returning home from the LBW, I felt all lit up inside – like every cell in my body had been transformed. I felt I was moving through life as the woman I had always wanted to be: confident, sure of myself, and truly knowing what self-love means. I learned how important loving myself was to meeting the love of my life AND achieving all of my other life goals.

A few months after the LBW, I signed up for my Match.com account and started dating again. I went on a string of first dates, and Jeff was my last. If I’m being honest with myself, had I not found Lara and Johnny and go through all of the courses with them, I might not have ever given Jeff a fair shot. But thanks to them and the LBW, it was easy to know he was the one for me.

I looked up Lara and Johnny and registered for three of their online courses. I love them and wanted to keep going deeper into the material so I decided to attend their live event The Love Breakthrough Weekend in San Jose. I knew that they had a year-long program and I wanted to sign up and really commit myself to finding love.

Now I am a doctor of physical therapy and am happily married to the love of my life, living the life of my dreams. I never thought it was possible that things could be so amazing and things just keep getting better. This past year, I was hired by two places where I have dreamed of working for several years. When I met you both I had been misguided, mistaken and misled. I misunderstood love; I believed true love was scarce. I saw love fail. I was in such a vulnerable place and had a lot of pain, grief and shame around the break up I was experiencing. Although I was significantly introverted about what I was experiencing, getting to spend time with you, be of service, and being re-grounded in the LoveLaunch principles was instrumental for my healing process, and all of the blessings that have followed.

During the program, I had so much resistance to change and grow and I feel like I might have been somewhat of a difficult student. When I look back, I realized how jaded I felt. I was also trapped in some wrong friendships later I realized as well. However, I still kept my commitment to myself, worked on myself and did not give up. I wanted to thank Johnny and Lara for believing in me and guiding me on my journey to my soulmate. The structure of the program, the workshops, and the course contents strengthened me and helped me stay on course and keep the faith. The journey to the soulmate is sometimes not easy and having a mentor really helps--and not just any mentor, but someone who is with their soulmate.

What a journey it has been... the journey to myself. I knew as Lara and Johnny spoke, they had so much wisdom to offer, so many answers to questions I had been seeking. The kindness, the unconditional caring and the safety they offered felt like oxygen to me as I learned and soaked all of the lessons in. Somewhere on a deep level I needed to hear from other human beings that I am worthy of everything wonderful. I learned how to love myself and more importantly, what that meant and how to do that.

Self-esteem is something I have struggled with since childhood for various reasons. I had tried to find answers on my own for many years, and finally accepted that I needed help and loving guidance. I put trust into Johnny and Lara’s hands as I would a brother or sister who unconditionally loves me and wants nothing but the best for me, not blindly but because I continually saw evidence of their trustworthiness. I have known them for three years now and their integrity and dedication to helping women heal and go for their best life is unparalleled.

Without Johnny and Lara’s guidance, without taking the time to become a student, learning more about myself, being brave enough to do so (with the support of other loving women who were also stepping into being Love Warriors in their lives) and learning to trust/appreciate/value men again… I would not be sitting here with my soulmate by my side.

I think this program found me because I can’t honestly remember how I found out about the program. I had done so much personal growth over the years, but was looking for something specific that would get me to where I wanted to go. This program was the very thing.

The change I’ve noticed the most is that I’m a much kinder person to myself. In the past I was very hard on myself. I had such high standards that made it difficult for anyone else in my life to live up to the same standards I gave myself. My standards are still high, but now I’m gentler and kinder and I can forgive myself easier, love myself more and appreciate who I am as a woman. I even love my body now!! I have also developed solid boundaries, which makes my life so much happier. I’m able to honor and respect myself and, as a result, this has provided me with higher self-esteem.

Lara, I am happy you got a chance to "see" Dennis and I together.
